Just kidding about the title. Although this post intimately involves a bed. Albeit small cozy it was designed to be enjoyed by a couple. Plus it's a couch with storage underneath. One would expect a number of positions to be involved. I'll park the metaphor there to keep this post family friendly.
I expect to use the upright mode most. The seat is level. Back lean is 15 degrees. Good posture for sitting at the table (future development) to eat, write, use laptop. The level 24" seat's good for napping as well.
That's the most secure position for travel. For more relaxed comfort when stopped just lift up and pull out the bottom a little bit. The seat tilts to 5 degrees and the back 20. More comfortable for reading, or just relaxing.
For solo sleeping lift up and slide out further - about a foot. The back drops flat. Legs on both ends support the front edge. The single bed is 38 inches wide. Perfect for one.
For a couple the bed extends more. Just pull it out another 6 inches. A gap opens up that far from the wall. But a self storing board drops in place. That bridges the gap to support filler cushions. The three quarter bed is 44 inches wide.
Do the cushion keeper boards on the ends look odd? It was designed so the back could fold halfway to the bottom.
I doubt access behind the couch back is much value. Flat Stanley could be stowed there but not much else. The tighter bend's more useful for tilting up the bottom to access storage space under the couch. I'll want a more secure, self storing prop to prevent it from accidentally falling on my head while rustling around under there someday.
It also works another way. With the back dropped level like bed mode, the bottom can fold back against the wall. That's mainly for better access to the cleanout.
The use case I anticipate there is when connected to sewer at a volunteer village, for example. I'd rather not dump the porta potty outside. Disconnect the gray slinky, do the deed, then reconnect. Neighbors can amuse themselves. This gives a way to dump the potty from inside the camper.
