Last year I found a nifty tire hanger at an RV surplus place near Elkhart, IN.
It's a winch type piece of hardware like that typically used on pickup trucks (and some SUVs) to stow the spare tire under the rear end between the axle and bumper. A crank mechanism makes it easy to raise and lower.
Since lil' yeti's makeover included a heavy (150#) generator behind the bumper, the spare tire was shifted to the front. There was just enough room in the A frame under the LP tanks to stow the spare.
While in a hanging mood I finally got around to permanently mounting the microwave under the kitchen cabinets as well.
It took some surgery to the microwave itself. With its skin removed backer plates and nuts were hidden inside near its four corners. Wood spacer blocks were added for a snug, level fit. Almost a foot of headroom remains under the microwave. I hated to lose that corner of precious counter space. The corner canted position also keeps the timer visible while cooking at the stove in the opposite corner. With pillows in the rear the clock's also visible from bed. Just a bit of night light too.
